the right to cancel the enrolment proclaimed by the proclama-

tion of the 3rd September, 1915. Simultaneously with the

publication of this Ordinance in the Gazette, two proclamation were issued, one cancelling the former enrolment, and the other calling out the Reserve for service under the new section 10. These steps, together with the provisions of sections 3 and 6 of this Ordinance, will render it unnecessary in future to refer to the Peace Preservation Ordinance, 1386.

The declaratory section above referred to is section 12 of this Ordinance. and its object is to declare that the proclama- tion of the 3rd September, 1915, took effect as regards members joining after that date as well as on persons who were members at that date.

In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excellency the Governor may properly assent in the name of His Majesty and o His behalf.
